Description
SHOSHANNA GIVON
Shoshanna Givon, born in 1950, a graduate of the College of Art (1992), The Hebrew University (1971), lives and works in Israel.
“My works were presented in five solo exhibitions, including at the Kabri Cooperative Gallery Artist House Tel-Aviv, Efrat Gallery Tel-Aviv.
I participated in numerous group exhibitions in Israel and abroad: Mini Print Cadaqes Spain, Marziart Gallery Hamburg, International Exhibition Nord Art Germany, MOCA Virtual Museum Brooklyn. A multidisciplinary artist who often engages in print, engraving, photography, and textile processing.
The works range from figurative to abstract and are characterized by dense carpet textures in which flickering / assimilated various images.
Black and white etchings, screenprints are larger and in color. The main subjects in her work range from personality to collective. She examines the affected body image in her daughter’s portraits, identity, and memory in images of her mother’s jewelry, pours to the Israeli cypresses image textures, and appropriates them. Recently investigated the image of the heart and examined the physical and symbolic dismantling. Print allows working in layers and creating variations of the image. Metal engraving work is inherently connected to some of the issues as well as creating no color bullets conveys a sense of emptiness and the burning memory.” – Shoshanna Givon

Art must be returned in its original packaging with the certification of authenticity. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping and any customs and brokerage fees charged upon return.
