Hava Zilbershtein, Born in 1953, Lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel. She graduated from “The Midrasha” academy in 1975 and started her profession and mission as an art teacher in the same year until 1995. She is a member of the “Israeli Painters and Sculptors Association.”
Zilbershtein exhibited at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and The Mormon University Jerusalem several times.
“After twenty years of art teaching, I preferred to devote myself to art only. Therefore, I have created my works in the last ten years by etching on zinc and aluminum plates. This technique is the most suitable to express myself because of the character of the textures. In my works, I use figures of lines and stains in an abstract and vague environment.
My works have been represented eight times in individual exhibitions and more than thirty times in group exhibitions. In 2000, I was awarded the first prize in the “Pain” exhibition and contested with my work “Waves.”
During the past years, Zilbershtein’s work has been published in international art magazines, including Art Market Magazine Issue #46, April 2020, LandEscape Art Review – Anniversary Edition, Dec 28, 2015, Pain IASP – Volume 139, Sep 2008. Among her solo exhibitions, you will find the Meirhoff Gallery, Tel Aviv Museum, Zaritsky Artists House Tel Aviv, and Tova Osman Gallery, Tel Aviv.
From many group exhibitions, Zilbershtein presented her work at the Bible Museum, Tel Aviv, in 2000, at the Rosario Gallery, Argentina, in 2001, and a group exhibition represented by Meirhoff Gallery, Tel Aviv Museum, in 2021. In 2023, she also featured her work at the “Contemporary Local Print Festival” at Jerusalem Print Workshop.
